For The Dems Its Down To Two...

Well, it is now a race bewteen Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton for who will get the Democratic Nomination for President of The United States. The Democratic Party will take the historic step of nominatiing an African American or woman for the nation's highest office. This most recent change in the political landscape is bound to raise the bar on discussions of race and gender. It is also going to force voters to confront their biases.
When the " smoke clears" which candidate has the best chance of winning?

Which bias will have the most impact? Racial or Gender?

The idea of a so called " Dream Ticket" featuring Obama and or Clinton Obama was mentioned dueing the California Debate. The idea wasn't dismissed by either candidate. Could it be that the civility on display in California is setting the stage for the two remaining contenders to link up ?

GW we miss your show. We hope to hear you again soon. I like the idea of a of Obama-Clinton or Clinton-Obama ticket and I think the country is ready for such a ticket. People are encountering so many uncertainties in their everyday lives that they are ready for smart competent leadership that will work to uplift the poor and help stabilize the middle class. The Republicans are not talking about issues that are important to most Americans such as healthcare accessibility and ending the war in Iraq. The middle class has been beating down by the policies of the current administration so much so that they are willing to nominate a white woman or a black man to straighten things out.

Not sure there ego's would allow. But I gotta tell you that is the only way I would ever vote for Hillary Clinton.

I agree w/gwen, I just don't believe that Obama or Clinton would be able to set there own EGO aside and play the VP role. I also believe that there is no way Clinton would be Obama's VP because that would leave former president Bill Clinton in the back ground to steel all of the attention from the national press core...lol

I'm still listening to hear who will be the candidate to be the voice of the middle class?
